Ocean is full of masters of camouflage

People who think that oceans doesn’t have anything interesting to look at might be fooled by some of the skillful masters of camouflage that exist there. I joke, but there are some amazingly good masters of disguise in the ocean, and today we’re going to taking a look at once of them, the octopus. I wasn’t even aware that octopus is such a crafty little animal, but after a friend of mine showed me this video down below, my mind was blown.

Ocean is full of masters of camouflage

Video down below starts unsuspectingly showing a random seaweed, or should I say, a random sea bush. However as the camera comes closer to the seaweed you’ll notice that a huge chunk of it changes color until the familiar shape of an octopus is revealed.

What an amazing sight. It’s almost something from Hollywood that’s been developed somewhere in a studio. The octopus matched the color of the seaweed, the patterns, everything. That’s is how they hunt. Unsuspecting prey comes close to the seaweed thinking it’s just that, seaweed, and then they find themselves splashed with ink and in the grips with an octopus, fighting for their life. So next time that someone tells you that there’s nothing interesting to look at in the oceans, just show them this video.
